Katie Blanton is the Senior Associate, Communications for the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life campaign. Prior to joining UNF, Katie worked as a field organizer on a Senate campaign in Houston, Texas. Katie has a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Science with a focus on Global Health and Health Policy from Harvard University. While in college, she organized with the Student Global AIDS Campaign, volunteered at the birth center of a public hospital, and conducted research on the role of physicians in international social movements.
Passionate about health equity and political advocacy, Katie is thrilled to support Shot@Life and learn more about how to communicate science to the public and build grassroots communities around major public health issues. Outside of work, she enjoys running, hiking, and exploring DC.
