Building Relationships with Your Members of Congress (MOCs)
Learn About Your MOC
After finding your Members with the above links, visit their website to learn about their committees and issues of interest.
Stay Up-to-Date
Try signing up for Members’ email newsletters and following their accounts on social media.
So, how do you meet with your MOCs?
You can set up appointments with your members on Capitol Hill or their in-district offices. Call the U.S. Capitol at (202) 224-3121 and ask to speak to your Representative or Senators to schedule a visit. Are you having an event or meeting in your community? Invite your Member (or their staff) to come!
Keeping in Touch
After meeting your Member, always write a thank you note to their office. Be sure to include any necessary follow-up information!
Expressing Gratitude
If your Member creates change that matters to you, call their office and/or say thank you on social media!

In today’s world, mis- and disinformation (particularly around vaccines) is more rampant than ever. Learn how to recognize and combat the growing misinformation epidemic to become an even stronger advocate.

Our Annual Advocacy Periods
To mobilize resources for the global immunization work of our UN partners, Shot@Life organizes two U.S. advocacy activations and two fundraising periods every year. Our U.S. advocacy activations take place in the spring and fall when members of Congress are voting on the amount of funding to assign (or not) to global immunization programs in the U.S. federal budget.
