#Blogust 14: One Universal Truth – We Want the Very Best for Our Children

I’m sure parents remember that overwhelming feeling, that wave of trepidation of sending their child off on the school bus for the first time. That moment when you actually realized that your little darling has become a more independent, self-sufficient, little being in the big wide world—exploring and discovering new things about themselves. For us parents, all we can think about is hoping we did the best we possibly could have so far.

Now, take a moment to look at the bigger picture and imagine your child not having the opportunities to become the next Picasso, find the cure for cancer or construct the next Big Ben. This is unfortunately a reality for many children around the globe who don’t have access to vaccines.

This year, 6.6 million children will die from a preventable disease before they turn the age of 5, which would have been 6.6 million first thoughts at thinking about big dreams. Every child should have the right of passage to be healthy enough to celebrate the toddler years.
