Advocate to Vaccinate 2025 Roundup
In the midst of a rapidly changing global health landscape, we have reached the end of another successful Advocate to Vaccinate. Over the last six weeks, Shot@Life Champions mobilized in all 50 states to advocate for lifesaving global immunization programs to their policymakers.

With so much at stake for global health and immunization programs this year, Shot@Life Champions raised their voices throughout Advocate to Vaccinate and World Immunization Week.
By making their voices heard, Champions ensured that U.S. policymakers understand the important role vaccine programs play in saving lives at home and abroad. They highlighted the “best buy” of immunization; every $1 invested returns over $50, making it a smart investment of U.S. tax dollars. They showcased the ways that these investments support U.S. businesses: U.S. manufacturers produced 35% of vaccines purchased globally in 2023. And they showed that Americans from a variety of backgrounds and every state support global health, including the critical collaboration between the U.S. government and partners like WHO, UNICEF, and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance.
Champions reached policymakers in all 50 states and D.C. with these messages; highlights include:
- Over 5,600 emails to members of Congress.
- More than 250 calls to congressional offices (Champions also organized phone banks to help their communities get involved).

- Pieces published in local media outlets (newspapers, newsletters, even radio stations) in Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Idaho, Illinois, New York, Kentucky, Connecticut, Arizona, and counting.
- Over 75 Champion-led meetings and drop-bys (and counting) with targeted congressional offices in 15 states.

If you supported these efforts this spring, thank you for adding your voice. We must continue to speak up and amplify other’s efforts to ensure these messages are heard as the budget process continues for Fiscal Year 2026.
