President Trump Signs Bipartisan Spending Bill Delivering Essential Funds for Global Health Programs

Washington, D.C., February 3, 2026 – Today, President Trump signed into law a bipartisan spending package that delivers essential funds for lifesaving global health programs in Fiscal Year 2026. The legislation demonstrates a continued commitment to programs that keep Americans and people around the world safe from infectious diseases and emerging health threats.
The package includes $8.4 billion in funding for global health programs. It funds life-saving U.S. polio and malaria assistance as well as proven partners including the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. The foreign affairs legislation also indicates that UNICEF, an essential provider of frontline health services in lower-income countries and responder to health and humanitarian emergencies, will be funded consistent with prior year levels.
This budget is a clear affirmation of America’s commitment to global health and a recognition that these programs project American values and protect American lives.
We are grateful to Congress for its bipartisan work on this budget and to President Trump for his leadership. We welcome today’s commitment and look forward to the United States’ continuing global health leadership.
