Saving Millions with Measles Vaccine

This holiday season, Shot@Life has been focusing on measles, a highly contagious respiratory infection that effects children all over the world.  Although we’ve seen remarkable progress on reducing the burden of disease over the last 15 years – with immunizations saving over 20 million young lives – hundreds of children still die of measles every day.

Earlier this year, the Region of the Americas was declared free of measles, shining hope on the fight to eliminate the disease.  Just six countries, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Nigeria and Pakistan, account for half of the unvaccinated infants and 75% of the measles deaths.  We continue to raise funds to support measles vaccinations for the children who need them most, and we need your help in these efforts.

Every dollar donated will go towards protecting children from this deadly, vaccine-preventable disease.  We’ve raised over $60,000 so far – your gift can help us provide more immunizations for children all over the world.
