WHO

Shot@Life works to raise funds and educate the public about the World Health Organization's health and development campaigns.

The World Health Organization

is the coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system and a Shot@Life founding partner. WHO is the international leader on global health issues, helps shape the health research agenda, communicates evidence-based policy options, provides technical support to countries around the world, and monitors and assesses health trends. WHO also provides global guidance on vaccine safety and quality, surveillance for vaccine-preventable diseases, and immunization service delivery and disease control.

After Shot@Life’s grassroots advocacy training, our advocates encourage their federal representatives to ensure the United States pays its assessed contributions, or “UN membership fee,” to fund WHO initiatives to improve public health and immunization around the world. In addition, Shot@Life works to raise funds and educate the public about WHO’s health and development campaigns.
