Walgreens and United Nations Foundation have teamed up since 2013 for Get a Shot. Give a Shot®, a campaign that has helped to provide more than 15 million life-saving vaccines to children in developing countries. For every flu shot or other immunization administered at a Walgreens, Healthcare Clinic at select Walgreens or Duane Reade in New York, Walgreens will help provide a vaccine to a child in need through the Foundation’s Shot@Life campaign. This award-winning partnership has helped provide vaccines to children in developing countries like East Timor, Chad, and Tanzania. We are now heading into our fourth year together with Walgreens committing to donate 0.22 cents for every immunization administered in a Walgreens store up to $2M.
Walgreens is the nation’s largest drugstore chain and part of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc., the first global pharmacy-led, health and wellbeing enterprise. More than 8 million customers interact with Walgreens each day in communities across America, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
