Jen Barth
Executive Director, Schoolhouse Supplies
Jen is an award-winning marketing executive and non-profit advocate, and was recently named Executive Director of Schoolhouse Supplies, a nonprofit operating Oregon’s first and only Free Store For Teachers, providing public school teachers and low-income students with the classroom supplies they need to encourage the learning process. Prior to Schoolhouse Supplies, Jen founded Big Small Brands, an award-winning small business marketing and branding firm, and was a frequent speaker/presenter for local professional, education and community organizations on topics such as brand storytelling, social media, and cause marketing strategies.
Jen is a passionate advocate for children's health and education issues, serving as Oregon's 2011 Delegate, and 2012 Mentor, for Parenting Magazine's Mom Congress on Education & Learning, an annual conference that brings together education advocacy leaders and moms from every state to collaborate on parental engagement in the fight for better schools. She also founded Books Make it Better, a national grassroots early literacy movement, and is a Founding Member of The Mission List, a community of women who use social media influence for social good.
Jen is a graduate of Vassar College, and lives in Portland, Oregon. As the daughter and sister of Peace Corps volunteers, and the proud mother of 5-year-old identical — yet nothing alike —twin daughters, her passion for supporting children's global health was recently inspired even more when her daughters announced their desire to become "the shot ladies" at the pediatrician's office. While Jen suspects this may simply be because this would give them unlimited access to the office sticker collection, she thinks its a great sign!

Here’s a snap “shot” of our event…Pinky Power in Portland!
