Shot@Life is a cause near to my heart as my father is a polio survivor. I recognize that my family is fortunate for his good health and feel strongly about the need to campaign for the eradication of polio and other vaccine-preventable diseases.

Last year, I hosted my first Shot@Life event with the help of my colleagues from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. We educated students and community members in a fun and creative way about the importance of global vaccinations.
