Change starts with you; become a Shot@Life Champion

November 16, 2012 BY Jamie Whalen

Do you wake up each day wondering what you can do to help make a difference in the world? Do you wonder how you can use your voice and your support to create change? There’s a simple solution. Become a Shot@Life Champion and you can help save the lives of millions of children around the world!

Shot@Life is inviting 100 supporters to Washington, D.C., February 10-12 to become new Champions at the 2013 Shot@Life Champion Summit. These individuals will join a group of incredible supporters who are leading a grassroots movement to increase access to vaccines in developing countries and helping to ensure every child gets a shot at a healthy future.

Summit participants will learn everything they need to know to become an effective Champion for Shot@Life including how to teach their community about the importance of global vaccines, organize events to raise funds for United Nations programs on the ground, and meet with their members of congress to encourage them to expand access to vaccines globally. Before heading back home, participants will have the opportunity to turn their new skills into action by personally meeting with their members of congress on Capitol Hill.

We want you to join us for this amazing event! Apply to attend the 2013 Champion Summit by visiting shotatlife.org/apply.  The UN Foundation will provide travel and accommodations for the training of all new Champions.

Whether you’re a parent with young children, a high school student, a health professional, a community advocate, or someone who is just passionate about making a difference, you are a perfect candidate to become a Shot@Life Champion. Join us for the 2013 Shot@Life Champion Summit and take the first step towards make the world a healthier place.

If you have any questions please email us at champions@shotatlife.org.

Best,

Submitted by addie on: January 23, 2015 Being a champion in this field does require a lot of strength. You need strength to bear seeing innocent children living harsh lives. It's not a job for everyone but it can be so rewarding. There are some articles about also on http://tn-networks.com/nursing-jobs-skills.htm, a lot of people want to make a difference. It's great to see this level of commitment, it gives us confidence that this world can be a better place.
